My journey began with a degree in psychology and counseling people before I went into medicine. I am a board-certified Family Practice MD with a specialty in obesity medicine as well as functional medicine, an approach that utilizes deep testing to uncover the root cause of your symptoms.

I've taken over 20 years of experience working with thousands of patients in psychology, family medicine, and obesity medicine and used that knowledge to create a weight loss and maintenance program centered around food psychology.  The Lighter Way Method is a 4-part approach to weight loss that helps people not just lose the weight but also keep it off by addressing the subconscious patterns of eating so that they can rejoice in their new healthy lifestyle and be able to have confidence in their ability to maintain their health. The result? They have renewed energy to do the fulfilling things they haven't been able to do before.
